- The Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned Business (SWaM): The purpose of this certification program of the Commonwealth of Virginia is to enhance procurement opportunities for SWaM businesses participating in state-funded projects. The program also recognizes Service-Disabled Veteran-owned businesses, expanding the acronym’s scope.
- The Energy Marketers of America (EMA): This is a federation of 48 state and regional trade associations representing family-owned and operated small business energy marketers throughout the United States. EMA members supply 80 percent of all motor and heating fuel products sold nationwide.
- Rotary: Rotary is a global network of more than 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
- Virginia Petroleum & Convenience Marketers Association (VPCMA): With their slogan “Virginia Neighbors Serving Neighbors,” the VPCMA has a membership comprised almost exclusively of family-owned local businessmen and women. The association’s mission is representation before the Commonwealth’s General Assembly and state regulatory agencies; providing educational opportunities for members’ employees; and communicating information on the latest industry issues.
- The National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA): NORA was authorized by Congress in 2000 to provide funding that enables the liquid fuel heating industry to provide more efficient, more reliable and lower carbon home heating and hot water to American consumers. NORA mission is centered around research and development, carbon reduction, energy efficiency, professional education, and consumer education.
- Better Business Bureau (BBB): Southside Fuel is a BBB-accredited business with a rating of “A+”. BBB has determined that Southside Fuel meets BBB accreditation standards, which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints.
