- Seal doors and windows: Late summer and early fall are great times to check around your doors and windows for gaps and drafts. Drafty homes waste huge amounts of energy and raise your energy costs for no reason! If you do not want to pay to heat the whole neighborhood this winter, make sure you take the time to seal your doors and windows.
